Mr. Stubbs worked in insurance claims before law school. Following law school, Mr. Stubbs served a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Deborah A. Bail of the Fourth Judicial District. He joined Quane, Smith, Howard and Hull in 1985. Since that time, Mr. Stubbs has conducted a litigation and dispute resolution practice. The focus of his practice at Quane Smith, LLP has been litigation and risk management involving physicians and other health care providers, including malpractice, disciplinary matters, antitrust and contractual disputes. Mr. Stubbs' litigation practice also has included commercial litigation, lender liability, insurance, governmental liability, civil rights, and general litigation and appellate matters. Mr. Stubbs has handled appeals before the Idaho Supreme Court, the Idaho Court of Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

?In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Stubbs has provided risk management and counseling services for physicians, physician groups and other health care providers and entities. Mr. Stubbs has spoken to local and state meetings on legal issues impacting health care providers. Mr. Stubbs also has served as a member of non-profit organization boards, and has provided legal counseling and advice in that context.

? Mr. Stubbs is a member of the Idaho bar. He has practiced in state and federal courts in Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Washington and Wyoming. Mr. Stubbs is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Boise Insurance Adjuster's Association, the Litigation Section of the Idaho State Bar Association, and the Idaho Hospital Association of Risk Managers. He also is president of the Boise Y Striders. Mr. Stubbs is a partner, and practices in the Boise office.
