Mr. McColl is a second-generation Idaho attorney. He graduated, cum laude, from Albertson College of Idaho in 1995 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in History. He studied politics and law at the University of Utah, graduating with a J.D. in 1999. Upon completing law school, Mr. McColl served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Kathryn A. Sticklen of the Idaho Fourth Judicial District.
Mr. McColl has a litigation practice with a primary focus on defending physicians and other health care providers in malpractice litigation. Mr. McColl also handles product liability litigation and represents insurance companies and their insureds in subrogation claims. He is a member of the Idaho bar, the Defense Research Institute, and is admitted to practice in state and federal courts.
Mr. McColl served as the Continuing Legal Education Chairperson for the Fourth District Bar Association (2000-2001). He has been an Attorney Mentor for the Ada County Youth Court and represents volunteer guardians ad litem in child protection proceedings. Mr. McColl was appointed to the Idaho Law Foundation’s Guardian Ad Litem Committee for the 2003-2006 term and serves on the Albertson College of Idaho National Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Mr. McColl is an associate with the firm, and practices in the Boise office.
